Abdulrahman Alghamdi, representing the Saudi Arabian national triathlon team, secured fourth place in the African Championship and the Arab Cup for triathlon held in Egypt's city of Hurghada. As a result, his global ranking has risen, placing him among the top ten globally, occupying the ninth position. The triathlon comprised a 5-km run, 20-km bike ride, and 2.5-km run.
This marks Alghamdi's second consecutive achievement, as he previously secured second place among professionals and first among Arabs in the African Triathlon Championship, elite category - Sprint distance in Sharm El Sheikh, with a time of 00:56:40, held in February 2024.
