Riyadh hosts the Asian Triathlon Executives


His Highness Prince Fahd ben Jalawi ben Abdulaziz ben Musaed, President of the Asian Triathlon Federation, chaired today the first meeting of the Executive Office of the Federation in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the International Federation, Antonio Arimani, and members of the office.


The meeting witnessed the discussion of the minutes of the previous meeting, the strategic programs for the coming period, and the approval of the championships calendar for the year 2024. The current budget was also discussed and the committees operating in the federation were approved.

The meeting approved the formation of the Players Committee headed by the Jordanian player Dana Haidar, in addition to discussing ways to develop the Asian sport of triathlon and activate the role of the working committees.


For his part, His Highness Prince Fahd ben Jalawi affirmed that the Kingdom today has become the first destination for sports, thanks to God, then the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the full support of the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad ben Salman, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz ben Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Olympic Committee and the Saudi Paralympics.


His Highness affirmed that the coming period for the sport of triathlon at the Asian level will witness a quantum leap and double interest to contribute to the discovery of more talents and competition at a high level in the Olympic and Asian tournaments.
